A pop-up event with Study Hall, The New School, Defector, and Grey Horse to peer behind the scenes of the forthcoming Digital Media Workers Summit.
Â
Join us as we get real in a series of conversations on the new digital media economy, entrepreneurship, and journalism. We're bringing together major creators, thinkers, innovators, and technologists to (try to) answer the age-old industry question:
Â
How the hell do we get paid?
Â
This is our first IRL/hybrid event in this series! Join us for a conversation and happy hour with Evan Kleekamp (Study Hall), Jasper Wang (Defector Media), Kate Gardiner (Grey Horse), Blake Eskin (The New School), and more. The conversation will be streamed digitally, or you can attend IRL in NYC.Â
Â
What is the Digital Media Workers Summit?
Â
Spearheaded by Study Hall, the Digital Media Workers Summit is a week-long hybrid experience coming in Spring 2023. The summit gathers independent media workers and media organizations who want to instigate a drastically different conversation about the media industry, namely how our labor is organized and valued.
